Upgrade your culinary experience with Kurouto’s black Walnut cutting board. Thoughtfully designed from the ground up to inspire you to make delicious meals more often.
Our walnut cutting boards are crafted with edge grain construction, which means the grain of the wood runs perpendicular to the front and back of the board. Based on surveys of top chefs and culinary experts, this is the optimal cutting surface to protect the edges of your knives. It is also guaranteed not to warp, unlike our competitors wood boards made with low quality wood of dubious origin and laminated with too much pressure during the manufacturing process.
We start out with the highest quality rift sawn American Black Walnut from FSC certified sustainably harvested forests in the southern USA. We then spend time and care to mill our lumber first to ensure the product we sell is made to last a lifetime. Our product is made in the USA of 100% domestic materials and ships eco friendly packaging.
Unlike boards made of plastic or bamboo, the grain structure of walnut is naturally antimicrobial, and the oil and wax finish make your board impervious towards moisture and other food products.
Features a juice groove on one size to contain messes when prepping and serving, making for easy cleanup when prepping or carving. Fully reversible and doubles as an excellent serving platter for charcuterie or other fresh creations.
The perfect do it all size for daily use. Plenty of room for lots of fresh ingredients but not too big and bulky to store or hard to handle.
Cleans easily with dish soap and warm water. Do not put in the dishwasher. Includes easy to follow care and maintenance instructions.
Pre-seasoned and ready to use! We hand finish each board with a proprietary wet sanding process to ensure your board stays smooth after you wash it. We then immerse it in an all-natural food-grade mineral oil, and finish it with an application of beeswax and mineral oil. This process ensures your board won’t dry out or absorb liquids or other odors, and the beautiful rich chocolate hue adds elegance to your kitchen! Don’t forget to regularly reapply oil to prevent your board from drying out.
We source only from FSC certified sustainably managed forests in the southern central USA.
We back each board with a lifetime warranty against defects when properly cared for and our legendary 120 day money back guarantee. We believe in ensuring future generations get to continue to enjoy the natural beauty of our world. For each cutting board purchased, we give back and plant a tree to help reforestation efforts.
